I’ve just returned from a relaxing and super-fun cruise to the Bahamas with my family. It was wonderful to unplug, literally leave my cellphone behind, and spend 5 days in full and complete presence of myself, my family, and the magical beach environment.
As I get older, as well as become a more and more seasoned entrepreneur, I recognize more and more the incredible importance of taking time off, of creating time for relaxation and fun, of making space that is free of technology. In my opinion, these are all things that are very good for the soul, spirit, body and mind.
So many of us (myself included) have such a tendency to over-work, or to go – go – go; to be in do-ing mode more than in be-ing mode. Honestly, I believe it’s a product of our culture who, over the centuries, lost sight of the sacred feminine principles of slowing down, opening up, connecting with the earth and with ourselves, and simply BE-ing.
Let’s change that, ok?
No matter where your soul-centered project is at, and no matter what your journey is this holiday season, please take some time off for yourself – some time to relax, to rejuvenate, to shut down the computer and the cellphone and to simply be present to the moment.
And, of course, I also DO love technology and know it’s vital for so many of our projects and goals! That’s why this week’s article is all about creating a website that will really work for you!
With love,
Joanna
