Last week, I was getting ready for my big trip to NYC. I was there for 10 days, leading a Soul-Centered Leadership retreat and a Wise Woman Leadership retreat, connecting with a private client for a VIP intensive, and then spending 2 days with one of my mentors.
What a trip!

And…a business trip as long as this one is, honestly, a little tough for me. Most importantly, it feels too long for me to be away from my daughter. Beyond that, travelling takes me out of my eating and exercise routines, and that doesn’t so much work for me.
So, I have a choice here. I can wallow in the toughness of the situation, or I can find solutions. I decided to find solutions.
1) My amazing husband agreed to come up to NYC with my daughter for a few days while I’m there so that I can be with them and connect. It’ll be like a mini-vacation on my days off!
2) I made sure my video skype was working fully so I could “hang” with my daughter in the evenings.
3) I figured out before-hand where the organic restaurants are, what food shopping I need to do, and what snacks I would bring with me each day.
4) I scheduled myself a massage while I was in town.
It’s not a perfect solution, but these steps helped me greatly.
What’s “tough” in your life and business right now? How are you responding to it? What solutions can you come up with?
As you ponder that, also ponder last week’s article all about how to take your marketing to the next level.
Enjoy!
With love,
